Now Showing: Friday 18 – Thursday 24 March 2011

Park Circus supplies films for public screening around the world, with titles for the next four weeks listed on our Now Showing page. Each week we highlight a selection coming up in the next seven days.

  • Switzerland is the location for Festival International de Film de Fribourg, taking place between Saturday 19 – Saturday 26 March. Films being shown include John Cassavetes’ 1980 drama, Gloria, starring Gena Rowlands in an Oscar-nominated performance
  • The Oscar-winning Toy Story 3 is still in cinemas around the UK this month. With awards for best animation and best original song cementing its popularity with fans, take a look at our list of screenings to see if it’s on near you
  • Naked, Mike Leigh’s 1993 drama starring David Thewlis as anti-hero Johnny, can be seen in Germany’s Staatstheater Braunschweig on Sunday 20 March
  • Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle upon Tyne will be showing the classic British horror film, Night of the Demon, on Tuesday 22 March. It’s the everyday story of an American psychologist who journeys to London to debunk a devil-worshipping cult

Finally, although it’s not a Park Circus title, we’re pleased to see Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Les Diaboliques make a return to UK cinemas from Friday, courtesy of the BFI.

We’ve had a huge success with our cinema and DVD release of Henri-Georges Clouzot’s Inferno, the emotional story of the ill-fated film project LEnfer, an enigmatic and original film about a hotel manager who becomes possessed by the demons of jealousy. We hope that a few more cinema-goers fall for Clouzot’s work, which can be seen in this clip from Inferno:
